Clubhouse Software, a tech company that creates management tools for software development teams, signed a more than 5,700 s/f sublease at Kaufman Organization’s 45 West 27th Street.
Clubhouse, which launched in 2016, helps software companies by creating intuitive project management tools and has worked with Deloitte, Conde Nast and others. The company is subleasing from Cuebiq, a business intelligence and data firm. According to the Kaufman, the building achieved full occupancy earlier this year and is part of their Madison Square Portfolio, the four pre-war buildings that Kaufman purchased and renovated in hopes of attracting technology, advertising, media and information tenants.
Michael Kaufman, partner at the company, represented the tenant while Michael Heaner and Elliot Warren, also of Kaufman, represented the sub-landlord in the transaction. Asking rent was in the mid-$70s-per-square-foot range.
“Clubhouse needed a flexible space with modern amenities and tech-forward infrastructure to effectively accommodate its rapid growth,” Kaufman said,. “45W27 offers this young, growing firm a turnkey, thoughtfully-designed space featuring a unique and progressive aesthetic.”
