The Starlight Children’s Foundation NY*NJ*CT will honor David Schonbraun, co-chief investment officer at SL Green Realty Corp. and Adam Spies, senior managing director at Eastdil Secured, LLC on March 14, 2013 at the Marriot Marquis Hotel in New York City.
They are being honored for their support of Starlight and their dedication to improving the quality of life for children suffering from a wide range of critical, chronic and life-threatening diseases and disabilities.
“It is with great pleasure that Starlight will honor David Schonbraun and Adam Spies,” said Jeffrey Gural, chairman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank and president of the Starlight Children’s Foundation NY*NJ*CT board of directors.
“Both David and Adam have dedicated time to visiting sick children in hospitals and are actively involved in helping to raise funding for Starlight. Each year, Starlight is able to touch the lives of more than 275,000 seriously ill children in the tri-state area through uplifting programs and services that help heal their spirit and make their journey through illness easier.
“Because of David, Adam and the many supporters who will attend the Gala, Starlight will be able to continue providing smiles and laughter to these children and their families.”
Schonbraun is co-chief investment officer at SL Green Realty Corp., focusing primarily on structured finance and alternative investments. He also is directly responsible for Green Loan Services, the company’s special servicing arm that serves both SL Green and third-party lenders.
Spies serves as senior managing director of Eastdil Secured, LLC, a full service real estate investment banking company. He has been with the company since 1999 and has been involved with the vast majority of Eastdil’s New York City transactions.
