By Holly Dutton

An out-of-control car ploughed into the storefront office of residential brokerage firm BOND New York on Monday.

The accident happened Monday afternoon, when a car heading south on 2nd Avenue between 78th and 79th Street jumped the curb and careened through the front of BOND’s offices at 1500 2nd Avenue.

“Our office’s storefront and lobby have been destroyed by a car that drove through it this afternoon,” said BOND New York co-founder Noah Freedman in a statement. “We are extremely thankful and relieved that no one — including the driver — was injured. The rest of the office is intact and our agents and staff will be at the ready to serve our clients as always.

“Like all New Yorkers we have endured far worse and look forward to rebuilding our office better than it was before.”

Though the driver was not injured, NBC4 reported that two passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The brokerage firm said the building has been cleared structurally and the offices remain open for business.

BOND New York, founded in 2000 by Noah Freedman and Bruno Ricciotti, has 500 agents in seven offices throughout Manhattan, including its corporate headquarters at 1776 Broadway.
