RKF has arranged a 12-year lease for a 1,000 s/f space at 189 Amsterdam Avenue for the Vanguard Wine Bar.
The ground floor space will house the Vanguard Wine Bar’s second Manhattan location when it opens for business on May 8.
RKF executive vice president Gary Alterman and senior associate Harrison Abramowitz represented both the tenant, Vanguard Wine Bar owner Stefan Mailvaganam, and the landlord, Ogden CAP Properties.
“The Upper West Side has become one of the city’s top food and drink destinations,” said Abramowitz. “The rise of new residential buildings and influx of young professionals has made this heavily trafficked corridor along Amsterdam Avenue the ideal spot for Vanguard’s second Manhattan location.”
Stefan Mailvaganam is also a co-owner of Bar Veloce in Greenwich Village and Custom American Wine Bar in Williamsburg.
Vanguard Wine Bar opened its first Manhattan location in 2012 at 530 Second Avenue in the Kips Bay area.
