Resnick signs Bustler Coffee
Jack Resnick & Sons signed Bustler Coffee, a self-service, fast-causal coffee shop, to its first Manhattan location at 485 Madison Avenue.
The coffee shop has taken a 1,144 s/f café space at the base of the building on corner of East 52nd and Madison Avenue.
Dennis Brady, executive managing director of Jack Resnick & Sons, said the prominent corner, which is also home to the Fresco by Scotto restaurant, features two additional luxury retail spaces available for lease beginning January 2016.
Bustler Coffee was represented by Alexander Turboff of Branded Concept Development/Benny Blanco, Inc. Brady represented the owner inhouse with managing director Fran Delgorio. Asking rent for retail space at 485 Madison is $750 psf.
Furniture gallery for Bleeker
Eastern Consolidated’s Retail Leasing Division has arranged a 12-year, 3,000 s/flease at 80 Lafayette Street in Tribeca for Todd Merrill, who is relocating his upscale design and furniture gallery from its current space at 65 Bleecker Street.
James Famularo, senior director, represented the landlord for the space, which is located on the ground floor of a 17-story New York University dormitory between White and Franklin Streets. Ravi Idnani, director, represented Todd Merrill.
According to Famularo, “Although we had quite a few offers from fast casual food concepts and cafes seeking to capitalize on the student population in the dormitory, the landlord wanted a tenant that would cater to the residents who are moving into the area’s new residential developments and seeking high-end retail stores. Todd Merrill was exactly the type of tenant we were looking for.”
