Cushman & Wakefield marketing retail at 69 East 125th Street in Harlem

Greystone Property Development has tapped a Cushman & Wakefield team to market the retail space at its luxury apartment rental at 69 East 125th Street in Harlem.

The space at the 12-story property currently under development is scheduled for delivery in Spring 2017.

Located half-a-block west of the 125th Street Metro-North railway station “upscaleˮ retailers are being pitched.

“The 125th Street corridor is currently seeing an influx of high-quality residential and retail opportunities and this particular location is situated conveniently to both transportation and a number of existing and planned in-demand retailers,” said Jeffrey Simpson, head of Greystone Property Development.

“We look forward to building out the space and amplifying 125th Street’s appeal.”

Calling it a “prime locationˮ Cushman & Wakefield executive vice president Alan Schmerzler said the retail is comprised of 5,643 s/f of ground floor space with 51 ft. of frontage on 125th Street and 265 s/f of basement storage space.

The residential portion of the project includes 75 rental units, 20 percent of which are reserved for affordable housing.

“125th Street has seen a massive influx of mainstream retailers and restaurants in recent years, including …American Eagle, Nike, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, Joe’s Crab Shack, Red Lobster and many others,” added Schmerzler, who is marketing the space with Brad Mendelson, Nicole Mendelson and Stephanie Katona.
