Who says real estate brokers aren’t edgy? Executives from some of the city’s top firms are taking off their ties and picking up a guitar for a rock ‘n roll concert in aid of charity next month.
The second annual Real Estate Rockers in Relief concert is slated for Oct. 24 and will feature Carl Schwartz, an executive at Hunton & Williams, with his group Normal by Day, and World-Wide Group executive vice president David Lowenfeld with his band, Midlife.
There will be special guest appearances by Randy Reiff, of Macquarie Group, David Welsh of Normandy Real Estate Partners, Howard Glatzer of Lotu Partners, Billy Procida of Procida Advisors, Chris LaBianca of RCG Longview and Joe Bezzone of BEZZONE.
The concert is organized annual to help raise awareness and funds for the Jewish Disaster Response Corps (JDRC), a faith-based organization that helps assist communities in disaster recovery. The JDRC provides a Jewish partner for institutions and individuals to work with, thus filling the gap between disaster response and the Jewish community’s commitment to help others, according to the organization’s website.
The show is from 6:30 to 11:30 pm at The Canal Room, 285 West Broadway at Canal Street. Tickets are $50 and are available at the door or online at www.canalroom.com.
