On the heels of Onyx Equities, LLC’s recent announcement that it has opened regional management offices in Crofton, Maryland and Charlotte, North Carolina, the company today announced the opening of an office in Atlanta, Georgia.
The move reflects Onyx’s success in rapidly expanding its management portfolio of REO-assigned and receivership properties.
By the end of 2015, the company projects that it will have extensive asset management operations up and running in 15 states.
Leading the Atlanta office will be Bert Locke Jr., a 30-year management veteran.

Most recently, as a senior real estate manager for CBRE’s Atlanta office, Locke oversaw a 14-building, three-property portfolio of office and industrial assets.
“Bert is among the very best property management leaders in the Southeast, and we look forward to him playing an integral role in our success, which rests upon our ability to manage properties seamlessly, respond to our tenants’ needs and partner with our clients while exceeding their expectations,” said Jonathan Schultz, managing principal and co-founder of Onyx Equities.
Locke will be working closely with Dyron Dinsmore, a senior property manager who recently joined Onyx from Parkway Properties, where he directed management of the 1.3 million-square-foot Bank of America Plaza.
At Onyx, he will continue to oversee operations at the Bank of America plaza, which is now under Onyx management.
Headquartered in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Onyx Equities has acquired more than $1.5 billion worth of real estate assets throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
