Eretz Group has bought the Argonaut Building, a landmarked office and retail building that sits at 224 West 57th Street, for $21.4 million, according to city finance records.
M1 Real Estate was the seller of the 10-story, 170,000 s/f property that also has two retail condos. The building’s main tenant is Open Society Foundations, a human rights non-profit supported by billionaire businessman, George Soros.
The 10-story, 170,000 s/f property also has a 20-car basement level parking space.
224 West 57th is located across from Extell’s planned Nordstrom Tower, which will become one of the tallest buildings in New York City when it is completed. Non of the parties returned calls seeking comment.
