Nobu Downtown opening at L&L’s 195 Broadway later this month

The long-awaited Nobu Downtown is officially opening this April at L&L Holding Company’s iconic downtown office tower, 195 Broadway.

Located between Fulton and Dey Streets, the new 12,500 square-foot restaurant includes a 4,500 square-foot street-level bar and lounge, dramatic subterranean dining and a private sake table.

In a nod to Nobu’s roots in Lower Manhattan, the new space – inspired by the Asian-fusion style cuisine pioneered by Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa – was designed by longtime partner and collaborator, David Rockwell and his firm Rockwell Group, which also designed the original Nobu in Tribeca.

Nobu is the first retailer to open in the historic 50,000 square-foot lobby following a $50 million retail redevelopment of 195 Broadway.

Retailer Anthropologie has also committed to 195 Broadway.

“The boldness and innovation of Chef Nobu’s cuisine is a perfect match for the grandeur of 195 Broadway and the now fully-restored William Welles Bosworth-designed lobby,” stated L&L Holding Company Chairman and CEO, David Levinson. “We are thrilled and honored that Nobu is joining us to write the next chapter in the history of this Downtown architectural treasure.”
