Martha’s Country Bakery to open in Williamsburg

RKF has arranged a 7,300 s/f lease at 263 Bedford Avenue for popular New York bakery concept, Martha’s Country Bakery in Williamsburg.

RKF senior associate Alex Beard and associate Eddie Mamiye represented both the landlord and the tenant.

Located on the corner of North 1st Street and Bedford Avenue, Martha’s is the sole retail tenant in a new six-story mixed-use development that is expected to be complete in early 2016.

The retail space totals 3,300 s/f on the ground and 4,000 s/f on the lower level. This will mark Martha’s fourth New York area location and first location outside of Queens. The bakery is expected to open in early 2016 upon completion of the building.

Martha’s three other locations are in Astoria, Forest Hills and Bayside. RKF continues to seek additional locations for the brand throughout the New York metro area.

Situated on a high-traffic corner within a prime stretch of retail and restaurants on Bedford Avenue, Martha’s will be just two blocks away from a planned Whole Foods Market and Apple store.

The store will also be situated a few blocks from the highly anticipated Domino Sugar Factory development on Kent Avenue, that, when completed, will comprise a total of 2,300 new apartments.
