Savills Studley announced that Walden Macht & Haran (WMH) has signed a four-year sublease for 28,307 s/f on the entire 34th floor at One Battery Park Plaza. The firm founded its partnership at One Broadway in 2014.
Savills Studley executive managing director Greg Taubin represented the subtenant, Walden Macht & Haran, in the transaction. The sublandlord, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, was represented by Barbara Winter and John Moxley of JLL.
According to Taubin, WMH focused on attaining a downtown location that would provide a low capital, move-in installation with light and views throughout the space. Additionally, the economics of the transaction will provide WMH the flexibility to continue growing its firm on the floor.
“The tenant-focused, conflict-free platform of Savills Studley resonated with the leadership at WMH and allowed us to focus on a number of strategic opportunities very quickly,” Taubin said.
“The rapid growth of our firm, and our elite roster of corporate and individual clients, demanded better office space. Several of our clients are real estate investment and development firms, so we needed top-shelf space. We are grateful to Savills Studley for helping us find Offices to suit our practice and clients, and allows us to pursue our growth plan,” said Jim Walden, the managing partner of WMH.
WMH focuses on complex commercial disputes and criminal investigations, with its four partners, twelve associates, and four paralegals. Its client include companies and executives in real-estate investment, asset management, other financial services, entertainment, media, manufacturing, retail, and technology.
