Law firm expands, adds loft practice

Kucker & Bruh, LLP, a New York City-based real estate law firm, has formed a new Loft Law practice.

In addition, the firm has rebranded as Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, LLP.

With the overhaul of New York’s rent laws including the Loft Laws earlier this year, the practice will provide counsel to owners, developers and prospective buyers interested in developing loft buildings.

Jason Frosch, who recently joined Kucker Marino from Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Nahins & Goidel, P.C., was brought on board to lead the practice.

James Marino, Nativ Winiarsky and Andrew Bittens have been named partners, which resulted in the rebranding to Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, LLP.

Kucker Marino has also elevated Craig Gambardella and Gregg Kurlander to partner and brought on Lisa Faham-Selzer as a partner.

To accommodate Kucker Marino’s growing practice, the firm has signed a lease for 5,101 s/f to add to its existing 9,269 s/f office space at 747 Third Avenue (pictured top) and will now occupy the entire 12th floor of the Midtown East building. Michael Lenchner and Jack Brennan of Sage Realty Corporation represented building ownership in the lease transaction.

Kucker Marino has represented Sage Realty Corporation, the leasing and management division of the William Kaufman Organization, the landlord, since 1999 and been a tenant of the building since July 2004.
