Former Thor Equities execs launch investment firm Weaver Street Partners

New York City real estate executives Alan Klein and Jonathan Fishman have launched Weaver Street Partners, a real estate investment and management firm focusing on acquiring multifamily properties.

Weaver Street Partners is backed by Silverpeak Real Estate Partners, a privately-held real estate investment and advisory firm.

Klein and Fishman have worked together for nearly 14 years and have amassed residential real estate acquisitions of New York City multifamily properties and mixed-use properties valued at about $3 billion encompassing over 3,500 rental apartments while consistently delivering strong returns for their investors.

Most recently, they launched and led the residential division of Thor Equities, which from 2013 to 2017 acquired close to $1 billion of New York City multifamily projects in partnership with institutional, family office and private investors.

“Our combined experience and expertise set us apart in this unique segment of the real estate market,” said Klein.

“Partnering with Silverpeak, a strategic partner with an array of institutional equity relationships, puts Weaver Street Partners in an exceptional position to build upon our success in the multifamily real estate market.”

As co-founders and managing partners, Klein and Fishman work from pre-acquisition through disposition, with Klein primarily sourcing, negotiating and implementing residential acquisitions, and Fishman primarily managing all phases of the firm’s residential business platform.

Prior to joining Thor Equities, Klein and Fishman worked together for over 10 years at Stonehenge Partners, where they handled a wide array of acquisition and asset/investment management while, at that time, building Stonehenge into a leading New York City multifamily market player.

Klein graduated from Lafayette College with a major in Economics and Business, and he holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University.

Fishman graduated from the University of Wisconsin and received his master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
