Jennifer Aniston’s real estate search appeared to come to an end in May, when she closed on two apartments at 299 West 12th Street for a combined $6.01 million as Norman’s Nest LLC, a reference to her late dog.

But in late July, Aniston toured a three-bedroom unit at 50 Gramercy Park North, according to sources, suggesting that the search may continue.

The 2,873 s/f unit, #9B, is priced at $10.2 million, or $3,550 per s/f, higher than Aniston’s previous two buys, which averaged around $1,863 per s/f.

Thomas Marsico, a financier who was named one of the richest Americans in 2008 by Forbes, is the owner. He bought #9B from the sponsor for $9.06 million in 2007, according to city records.

The listing notes a word-burning fireplace, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and use of the adjacent Gramercy Park Hotel’s housekeeping, valet, room service and personal shopper, as well as the private park itself.

Lisa Simonsen and Laura Mondrick of Prudential Douglas Elliman are the listing brokers.

Simonsen said the apartment had been seeing “good activity” from prospective buyers, noting the location and 11.8-foot ceilings as selling points.

A pre-war building built in 1925, 50 Gramery Park North was converted to 23 co-ops by Ian Schrager in 2006. Schrager also developed the neighboring Gramercy Park Hotel, which faces Lexington Avenue and has 185 rooms.

The building completely sold out during the boom. Since then, a few co-ops have returned to the market. In addition to #9B, there are two active listings, according to StreetEasy. A 2,150 s/f, three-bedroom unit has an asking price of $5.5 million, and the 4,235 s/f penthouse is on the market for $21.4 million, just months after an Icelandic businessman bought it for $22 million.

A spokesman for Aniston denied that she was looking to buy again.

But if nothing else, Aniston has the means. In June, she sold her Beverly Hills estate of nearly 10,000 s/f, closing between $37 million and $38 million. She paid $13.5 million for the property in 2006, and the asking price was $42 million.

Aniston’s reported relationship with actor Justin Theroux, with rumors of an engagement, may also call for a larger apartment.
