RKF announced that it has arranged the first New York location for Round One Entertainment at Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown.
Round One, Japan’s leading family-friendly multi-entertainment activity complex, has worked with RKF since early 2011 in its national expansion.
Round One currently has 14 locations across the US in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas and Washington, with three additional centers opening soon in Colorado, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Round One typically requires approximately 45,000 – 80,000 s/f of space, and centers are usually located with or adjacent to a shopping mall.
The Middletown center totals 45,000 s/f, and will offer a mix of activities, such as karaoke, bowling, billiards, ping pong and darts, as well as a food and beverage area.
RKF Executive Vice President David Friedman, based in the firm’s San Francisco office, has managed the Round One national expansion to date and will continue to be focused on select markets.
Galleria at Crystal Run is owned by The Pyramid Companies, a privately-held developer of destination centers in America.
Located 60 minutes outside of New York City, Galleria at Crystal Run is the premier retail destination in Orange County, New York, one of the fastest growing counties in the state.
Anchored by major department stores, national retailers and an AMC Metroplex 16, the mall reaches trade area population of nearly 1.5 million residents and workers with an average household income of $95,460.
“Round One offers an entertainment experience for the whole family that rivals many regional amusement parks, but actively seeks out the best locations at shopping malls and regional retail centers to reach their target customers in each market,” said Friedman.
Round One is a $1 billion company that operates more than 100 locations in Japan totaling more than 28 million square feet at retail locations worldwide.
