RKF has been retained as the exclusive retail leasing representative by Bibigo Fresh Korean Kitchen, a fast-casual healthy Korean restaurant concept, as it embarks on a plan to establish a national presence throughout the US, starting in Southern California over the next year.
RKF Senior Associate Jack Lee will oversee the RKF team relationship. He will be assisted by RKF Senior Managing Director Marc Finkel in Southern California, where Bibigo plans to open as many as 12 locations by 2017.
Founded in 2010 by CJ, Korea’s No. 1 food company, Bibigo offers a healthy build-your-own meal experience.
Traditional Korean bibimbap bowls are made with nutritious and fresh ingredients for a flavorful meal.
The chain currently has four locations in Southern California in Los Angeles, Glendale and Culver City, and two recently announced restaurants in Arcadia and Torrance.
“Bibigo is extremely popular in Asia and has multiple locations in China, Korea and the UK. It was first introduced to the US in 2010 with the opening of its Westwood and location and has since then added several new locations,” said Lee.
“Fast-casual dining is still the strongest growing segment across the restaurant industry, and consumers’ changing food preferences are driving demand for new concepts and sustainable ingredients. Bibigo offers the best of all worlds: healthy food made with fresh ingredients, authentic Korean flavors and a reasonable price point. We are thrilled to be part of Bibigo’s expansion here in the US.”
Bibigo requires approximately 1,500 – 2,500 s/f of usable space in dense retail areas with high foot traffic.
