The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has launched a year-long observance of its 80th anniversary.
National and local initiatives over the coming months will focus on the organization’s past and historic achievements.
They also will underscore IREM’s role as a global leader in educating real estate managers and certifying their competence, enforcing ethical business practices, and welcoming into its membership community industry practitioners across all functions and experience levels.
IREM president Beth Machen, CPM commented: “We believe that well-managed properties improve the quality of life for the people who live, work and shop in them and, at the same time, build asset value for owners and investors.
“To achieve these ends, we are proud that IREM and IREM Members have led efforts to transform real estate management into a highly valued profession that effectively serves the interests of all of its constituencies.”
Russell Salzman, IREM’s executive vice president and chief executive officer, added, “IREM welcomes the future with optimism, confident that we will continue to provide the insights, information and resources that meet the ever-changing needs of the marketplace and help our members and their industry colleagues deal successfully with the challenges they face.”
