German accounting firm, Rödl & Partner has leased an approximately 7,500 s/f space at 228 East 45th Street to serve as its New York City base.
Dana Moskowitz, partner at HSP Real Estate Group, represented the owners, Beckrose Estate, LLC. Jim Devaney a director at NAI Brannen Goddard in Atlanta, GA, represented Rödl & Partner as its U.S. real estate consultant.
“The tenant was immediately attracted to the location of the building,” said Moskowitz, whose firm is a member of the NAI Global network. “The space, which is nearly twice the size of Rödl’s current offices, was in move-in condition and required very few modifications.”
Devany added, “This was an excellent choice for our client on so many levels and a wonderful opportunity for us to work with an NAI partner. Needless to say, the transaction was flawless.”
The asking rent for the five-year lease was in the low $50s. The tenant will be moving from 747 Third Avenue into its new offices in January 2021.
