Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Patrick J. Dugan, formerly of CBRE, has joined the firm as a director of brokerage in its New York City offices.
Mr. Dugan, who reports to Ron Lo Russo, president, NY Tri-State Region and Suzy Reingold, COO, NY Tri-State Region, is based in the firm’s world headquarters office in Midtown Manhattan. He will play a central role in managing approximately 180 brokers in the company’s Midtown and Downtown offices, with direct management responsibility for approximately 50 brokers.
“Patrick Dugan has developed a well-deserved reputation in the brokerage world as a first-class deal closer whose top priority is service to clients,” said Lo Russo. “We’re all excited about his arrival, and we have high expectations about the valuable role he’ll be playing as part of the Cushman & Wakefield management team.”
With a specific focus on the Lower Manhattan, Midtown South and Brooklyn markets, Mr. Dugan served as leasing agent with CBRE for nearly two million square feet of office space. In addition to extensive landlord representation, he also advised a variety of corporations and developed specialized expertise in managing complex transactions.
Prominent clients have included Vornado Realty Trust, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, Madison Capital, The Bank of Japan, Beyer Blinder Belle, P.C., IBM Corporation, Nationwide Insurance and the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Conservancy.
“With his level of expertise, Patrick Dugan is certain to help the Cushman & Wakefield management team successfully execute a range of key initiatives,” said Reingold. “Manhattan office leasing is at a three-year high, and Patrick will make sure we are taking maximum advantage of the opportunities this presents.”
Dugan’s primary duties as director of brokerage include strategic planning, business generation, recruitment and retention, broker training, pipeline management and performance reviews.
He is also coordinating with Cushman & Wakefield’s information technology unit to ensure that all information systems efficiently support the needs of both management and brokers.
A licensed associate broker in New York State, Patrick Dugan earned CBRE’s “Rookie of the Year” designation for Downtown Manhattan in 2005. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and the St. Francis College Alumni Board of Directors.
Mr. Dugan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from St. Francis College and has attended New York University’s School of Continuing Education.
