Food ordering platform Olo joins tech roster at 1 WTC

The Durst Organization and The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced that Olo has signed a 10-year lease for 36,099 s/f on the entire 82nd floor of One World Trade Center.

The technology company, founded in 2005, is moving its headquarters from 26 Broadway.

Olo moved into a completely built-out, furnished and wired space.

Artificial Intelligence company ASAPP, Inc. has extended its lease for a 10-year term and committed to an additional 10,691 s/f on the 80th floor, bringing their total square footage at One World Trade Center to 36,960 s/f. This is ASAPP’s second expansion at the property.

“We are thrilled to welcome Olo to One World Trade Center,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

“The staff at Olo will not only enjoy stunning 360-degree views from their new headquarters, they will also join the list of innovative companies, like ASAPP, that have made One WTC the emblem of the New York City’s TAMI industry.”

Olo was represented by Executive Managing Director Brian Lee and Managing Director Travis Wilson of Newmark Knight Frank.

“One World Trade Center offers Olo an exceptional value with state- of-the-art infrastructure, amenities and a workplace environment which will enable Olo to continue to expand while attracting and retaining the best and brightest workforce.” stated Brian Lee.

Olo powers digital ordering and delivery for a network of over 250 restaurant brands across 50,000 locations so that consumers can order directly from brands including Cheesecake Factory, Five Guys, Shake Shack, sweetgreen, Wingstop, and more.

Over half of the publically traded restaurant brands that do digital ordering use Olo to order ahead, fulfilling over 100 million orders last year alone. Olo helps brands integrate orders from various channels such as white-label apps, third-party marketplaces, social media and personal assistant devices like Amazon Echo.

“With more than 400,000 square feet in our small suite program, we have the flexibility to accommodate the expansion needs of these rapidly growing young companies.” said Eric Engelhardt, Senior Managing Director of the Durst Organization. “In addition to ASAPP, five other firms have seamlessly grown their offices at One WTC.”

ASAPP was represented by Alexander Schwartz of Hudson Real Estate Partners. For both transactions, the landlord was represented by Mr. Engelhardt and Karen Kuznick and the Newmark Knight Frank team of David Falk, Jason Greenstein, Peter Shimkin, Hal Stein and Travis Wilson.

Dominating the Lower Manhattan skyline, One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and home to the largest community of media and tech innovators.

On the 64th floor of the 3.1 million-square-foot LEED Gold Certified skyscraper, One World Commons offers 25,000 s/f of tenant amenities including a business and social hub fostering workplace creativity, collaboration, and community.
