Electronic trading firm Arxis takes two floors at 623 Fifth Avenue

Arxis Capital, an electronic trading firm specializing in the automated global securities marketplace, has leased two full floors comprising 29,000 s/f for its new corporate headquarters at Charles. S. Cohen’s 623 Fifth Avenue.

The company was formerly headquartered at 527 Madison Avenue.

“We’re delighted that one of the highly successful, new breed of technology-driven financial firms, has chosen 623 Fifth Avenue for their home,” stated Cohen, President/CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation.

Arxis was founded in 2014 by senior equities trading executives from Bank of America Corp’s global market making business.

Arxis was represented in the long-term leasing transaction by Silvio Petrello and Alexander Golod of CBRE while Marc Horowitz, Senior Vice President and National Director of Office Leasing for Cohen Brothers, together with Colliers, represented the landlord. Asking rent was $95 a square foot.

According to Horowitz, floors of approximately 14,500 s/f are available at the 36-story skyscraper (formerly known as Swiss Bank Tower), which is located above the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship department store.

The property features a new sky lobby and recently refurbished elevator cabs. Arxis has operations in London and Hong Kong in addition to New York.
