“It’s not often a client gets a second opportunity to purchase their dream home,” said Citi Habitats agent Gil Givoni. “So when they do, it pays to act fast.”
Givoni recently helped her friends from Israel purchase a unit at 954 Bergen Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. This one-bedroom, one-bath condo sold for $520,000.

A married couple in their early 40s, as first time home owners in the U.S., they wanted a good investment in one of the up-and-coming neighborhoods in Brooklyn, as well as place their oldest son can call home when he returns from college.
“My clients liked a corner unit on the 5th floor, but took their time in coming to a final decision,” Givoni recalled. “When they finally did, it was too late, someone else placed an offer. But I reached out to the project manager to see if there was another option. Luckily for us an offer on a similar unit on the same floor fell through. The husband was traveling for work, but I got his wife to come right away as the units in the building were moving quickly. We saw the new option, took a video, sent it to her husband and made the move.”
Givoni’s clients paid the full asking price and the home was on the market for 10 days.
