Platinum Properties is helping finance the reconstruction of an earthquake-damaged kindergarten and nursery school in Indonesia.
The brokerage is supporting Happy Hearts Fund, a non-profit dedicated to rebuilding schools after natural disasters.
In September 2009, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake destroyed tens of thousands of schools and offices and claimed dozens of lives in West Java, Indonesia.
The TK Bina Meka School was one of hundreds shut down because they were deemed unsafe. The students have since been going to class at their teacher’s house.
“When you see what Happy Hearts Fund has accomplished in disaster affected areas of high need around the world, it’s really inspiring,” said Daniel Hedaya, president of Platinum Properties. “We wanted to contribute by donating a significant amount for this kindergarten in Indonesia.”
