Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders to host Glenn Markman basketball tournament

Cushman & Wakefield announced that the Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders group will host the first annual Glenn Markman Legacy 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Wednesday, August 31 at Downtown Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The Glenn Markman Legacy tournament will honor the memory of former Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman Glenn Markman, a widely respected brokerage professional, who dedicated his professional and personal time to elevating the Brooklyn commercial real estate market.

“This is the ideal event to celebrate Glenn, because it combines his passion for Brooklyn, basketball and bringing people together. Whether it was for his kids’ teams or his beloved Brooklyn Nets, Glenn could always be seen and heard cheering from the stands,” said Jan Testori-Markman, Glenn’s wife.

The event, which will take place at the Barclays Center’s Calvin Klein Court from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., is open to the commercial real estate community.

The tournament will feature 16 teams, with representation from the major commercial real estate firms in New York City, going head-to-head, with proceeds donated to the Glenn Markman Memorial Fund. Sponsorship opportunities range from conference (court sponsor), ambassador, 3-point contest, half-court shot, player experience and VIP courtside.
