Compass, Inc., the largest residential real estate brokerage in the United States, is excited to announce that swiftly following the one year anniversary of expanding into North Carolina, the company has opened its first permanent office space in Raleigh, located at 3800 Glenwood Avenue.
“Compass’ new midtown space is more than a shiny new office, it’s a celebration of the
significant investments Compass continues to make in the Triangle, and a source of pride for all of us who’ve been on board from the beginning,” said Johnny Chappell, a Compass Founding Agent in Greater Raleigh. “Compass is firmly rooted in Raleigh, and our team at Chappell is committed to being a proud partner in its growth and success.”
Compass expanded to North Carolina in the spring of 2021, establishing a presence in both the greater Raleigh and Charlotte markets with more than 110 experienced and locally-renowned agents. These agents included Gretchen Coley, Linda Trevor, David Worters, Debbie Van Horn, Margaret Struble, Susan Ungerleider, Chloë Seymore, Johnny Chappell, Andy Bovender, Scott Pridemore, Mike Hege, and Gina Lorenzo.
Today, we are proud to have over 460 agents throughout North Carolina calling Compass home. In 2021, these agents transacted over 1,400 units across the state, totalling approximately $712 million dollars worth of real estate, according to Triangle MLS and Canopy MLS.
To celebrate today’s opening of the nearly 16,000 square foot office space, Compass plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and champagne toast, slated to be attended by numerous Compass agents and clients, local leadership, and members of the greater Raleigh real estate community. The contemporary new office features a sleek and sophisticated interior of clean lines and a muted color palette, mixed with industrial elements such as polished concrete flooring, exposed beams, and expansive windows.
“With our flagship physical office in Raleigh now open for business, it’s so terrific to walk into a beautiful new space and be surrounded by so many inspiring agents,” said David Worters, a Compass Founding Agent in Greater Raleigh. “We’ve now got a permanent place in the world from which to help our clients find theirs!”
Compass is the #1 residential real estate brokerage in the United States based on 2021 sales volume. Today, the company is home to over 28,000 agents in more than 350 cities across the United States. Last year, Compass agents transacted over a quarter of a trillion dollars in residential real estate – more than any other brokerage in the country.
