Colliers International has arranged two new Garment District leases at 469 Seventh Avenue, with Nanoosh taking the building’s ground floor retail space, and Severud Associates signing a long-term renewal for its full-floor office space on the 9th floor.
Mediterranean eatery Nanoosh leased 1,700 s/f on a long-term lease, with plans to open in the Spring of 2015. This newest location marks the fourth New York City location, and fifth overall.
Severud will continue to occupy its 17,000 s/f space, taking the entire 9th floor. The structural engineering firm has provided services for such renowned properties as One Bryant Park, the Hugo Boss and Escada flagship store in New York City, the Creative Performing Arts Center in Israel, the Credit Lyonnais Tower, in France, and the Westin Stamford Hotel, in Singapore, among many others.
Most recently Colliers also arranged a long-term renewal at 469 Seventh Avenue, with the Metropolitan Transit Authority continuing to lease the entire 11th and 14th floors, totaling 34,000 s/f.
With these new transactions only the building’s top floors now remain available for lease.
“Space users from all sectors are clamoring for space in the Garment District, which has evolved into a thriving, 24/7 neighborhood with incredible amenities,” said Eric Meyer, a senior managing director with Colliers International Tri-State, who along with vice chairman Marty Meyer arranged the lease on behalf of the building ownership.
“We continue to speak with several potential tenants about our beautiful tower floors, including catering facilities and event management companies that have expressed a strong interest in the Penthouse and roof deck.”
The building is owned by Eric and Marty Meyer, and Dan Shavolian, of Foremost Real Estate. Kenji Ota, of Cushman and Wakefield, and Rob Bonocoro of CBRE both represented Nanoosh. Jim Wenk, of JLL, represented Severud in the renewal.
