Co-working venture launches at 2 Gateway

C&K Properties and =SPACE have opened a new co-working facility at 2 Gateway Center in Newark, N.J.

Public SPACE, a partnership between C&K Properties and =SPACE, is an entrepreneurial-focused co-working space providing a center for digital creative, tech-oriented, and other entrepreneurial startups to learn about and engage each other through a variety of programs, including lectures, roundtables, live demonstrations and workshops.

Public SPACE will also feature a unique innovation wall, a display for product presentations and learning sessions, featuring upcoming programming and information spanning Newark’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.

=SPACE Downtown, 2 Gateway’s original co-working facility, opened in 2016 in the concourse of the building, where approximately 10,000 commuters and local employees pass through each day.

With its new platform, Public SPACE, the company is expanding its presence in the building, further honing an environment that fuses amenitized, technology-driven workspaces with a setting that is both affordable and easily accessible from public transportation.

“=SPACE continues to be a major advocate for Newark’s innovators and entrepreneurs by connecting startups to others in the community through its events,” said Ben Korman senior partner of C&K Properties. “Public SPACE not only provides a place where all corners of the local tech scene can collaborate, but also a place where members of the public can get a glimpse into the newest products and trends in the market.”
