Chelsea building reaches full occupancy

The Chelsea property housing popular high end nightclub 1Oak has reached 100 percent occupancy.

According to Director of Investment Sales and Hospitality at INK Real Estate Partners, Robert Skinner, who represented owners of 453-455 West 17th, Agence Chic, a French marketing and design firm, will occupy the final 1,100 s/f of available office space in the building. Chic was represented by Emilie Goldman, of SquareFoot.

“Since becoming exclusive agent roughly three years ago, I worked with the landlords to make several improvements to the building, including installing security cameras, making extensive lobby renovations, adding new mailboxes, renovating the bathrooms and common areas, making the building more inviting,” said Skinner. “This allowed us to maintain a very stable tenancy within the building.”

According to INK, property has leased space to several other players in the food and entertainment industry, including Swish Beverages, makers of White Girl Wine, The Lobster Place, a Chelsea-based seafood purveyor, and digital advertising firm AdHawk.

The building, owned by N.E.W. Group since 1995, was originally built in 1950 and spans four stories which include 13 commercial units spread across more than 17,000 s/f.
