The Real Estate Board of New York honored Stephen Winter, a tenant representation specialist at CBRE, with the “Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year” award at Thursday’s Members’ Luncheon. To date, Mr. Winter has completed approximately 800,000 s/f of transactions and is well-known by all at CBRE as the “go-to source” for market information. He is the sixteenth award winner to be inducted into REBNY’s esteemed “Circle of Winners” group since the creation of the award in 1996.
As the winner of the Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year Award, Mr. Winter receives a one-year seat on the REBNY Board of Governors. In addition, he will become a lifetime member of REBNY’s Circle of Winners group, which meets four times a year for a private dinner with top industry leaders. The Award was created by the directors of the Board’s Commercial Brokerage Division to recognize current and potential professional achievement, as well as high moral character and ethical professional behavior.
“Since 2010, Stephen has demonstrated a level of ambition and tenacity that propelled him from rookie status to working on the teams that handle some of New York’s most prestigious companies,” said Steven Spinola, REBNY President. “It gets more difficult to pick a winner every year, as we are continuously impressed by the caliber of work that these promising young real estate brokers exhibit. We are excited to welcome Stephen to the Circle of Winners group and look forward to his contributions to our industry.”
Mr. Winter officially joined CBRE as an Associate Broker in 2010, after completing the company’s highly competitive Wheel Program. He played an integral role in securing Baker and Hosteller’s 148,000 s/f renewal and expansion lease at 630 Fifth Avenue, as well as obtaining four prestigious tenants at Boston Properties’ 140,000 s/f vacancy. These successful feats have earned him the coveted place among REBNY’s Circle of Winners.
The candidates for the Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year Award must be current REBNY members with less than five years industry experience, must have displayed leadership and team work qualities, and must have already made significant contributions to their firm’s success.
The other finalists in the running for the award were Peter Alden of Cushman & Wakefield and Robert Khodadadian of Eastern Consolidated.
