Butcher shop Hudson & Charles signed a ten-year lease for a store at 526 Hudson Street in the West Village.
The annual rent for 675 s/f of storefront and 600 s/f of basement space is $132,000. Corcoran agent Dominic Coluccio represented the tenant directly to the building owner, Bruce Camacho.
The new West Village butcher shop sells meat from locally raised, grass-fed animals, as well as prepared foods, custom cutting, house made pates and terrines, sausages, sandwiches, craft beers and ciders. The shop, run by partners Kevin Haverty, Adam Gale, and Jason Fox, owns a license to age meats nose to tail on premises.
“The partners knew that the West Village or possibly SoHo were the best locations given their business model and the areas demographics,” said Coluccio.
“I presented them with one location in SoHo on Thompson Street near Prince, and after further discussions they requested to be further West along Hudson Street. They loved the space and location, and they hit it off with the owner from the start.”
