Diller Scofidio + Renfro has renewed its 21,716 s/f lease at RXR’s Starrett-Lehigh Building for another 11 years and five months.

The architectural services company will remain on the second floor of the building for their workshop space and will relocate their office space to a larger footprint on the 16th floor.

Diller Scofidio + Renfro designed the High Line, The Shed at Hudson Yards, and are active supporters of The Friends of Hudson River Park.

Amanda Bokman and Calum Waddell of JLL represented the firm in its renewal. RXR Realty was represented in-house by Daniel Birney and Denise Rodriguez. Asking rents were in the mid $79 psf.

“We are excited to continue our longstanding relationship with RXR Realty through our renewal at the Starrett-Lehigh building. West Chelsea is our home and brings together everything that we stand for: evolving culture, art and technology. The Starrett-Lehigh building is at the center of it all with historic architecture and stunning views,” said Elizabeth Diller, Ricardo Scofidio, Charles Renfro, and Benjamin Gilmartin in a joint statement.

“The Starrett-Lehigh Building is one of New York City’s premier properties and an anchor of the dynamic West Chelsea neighborhood, encompassing a full city block with 2.3 million square feet of office and retail space,” said Bokman of JLL.

“Starrett-Lehigh hosts the top global leaders in fashion, design, media, and technology and we are thrilled to see Diller Scofidio + Renfro’s commitment to the neighborhood.”
