The first of several AERIE pop-up stores will open at Long Island’s Great South Bay Shopping Center .
Steve Asch of City Connections Realty represented the lingerie retailer and intimate apparel sub-brand owned by American Eagle Outfitters.
AERIE signed a 20-month deal for 6,700 s/f of retail space at the Great Bay Shopping Center located at 895 Montauk Highway, West Babylon.
Olshan Properties owns the 468,384 s/f open air mall whose main tenants include Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, LA Fitness, Ann Taylor Loft, Old Navy, Panera Bread, Rite Aid, Bath & Body Works, Aldi, and Red Robin.
RFR announced a lease agreement with high-end fashion brand Cotton Citizen at 11 Howard Street, a 207-room boutique hotel.
Jordan S. Claffey, RFR Realty and Head of Retail, represented the landlord in the lease negotiations.
Jeremy Aidan of Isaacs and Company for the ground floor retail in the hotel that combines cutting-edge Scandinavian design with a socially conscious edict. Born in a Los Angeles denim dye house, Cotton Citizen incorporates only the finest fabrics with its signature hand-dyed treatments.
“RFR is delighted to facilitate Cotton Citizen’s very first retail lease in the New York City market,” said Claffey.
“They currently have a flagship location on Melrose Place in Los Angeles and another under construction at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, but they were attracted to 11 Howard’s prime location in New York City’s fashionable SoHo district.”
“11 Howard is a perfect fit, and is in line with our plans to open at the Wynn Q1 2019,” said Aidan. “Our continued expansion will reflect throughout the country.”
Helmsley Spear has brokered a lease for Tower Chemists on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Scott M. Bloom, senior vice president of Helmsley Spear, represented the tenant in the lease of 1,750 s/f of retail space at 1305 2nd Ave.
Kevin P. Daly represented the landlord, Rudin Management Co., Inc. The lease term is 15.5 years and it is for the entire ground floor.
“Having been a neighborhood store for decades, we are pleased to have Tower Chemists as a tenant in one of the Upper East Side’s most sought after luxury rental buildings,” said Bloom.
Tower Chemists is a specialty pharmacy with a state of the art retail facility.
