Women’s consignment shop moves into Madison Avenue

Michael’s Consignment NYC, the New York firm specializing in secondhand designer clothing, handbags, and accessories, is opening a new shop at 1125 Madison Avenue at the Northeast Corner of 84th Street.

Previously occupied by Catamini Children’s Wear, the 1,500 s/f store features venue frontage and corner exposure.

“Michael’s, The Consignment Shop for Women, is a New York City institution, and a staple among New York’s most fashionable and savvy women,” Gary Dana of the Dana Commercial Group at Douglas Elliman, who brokered the lease, said.

“Since 1954, Michael’s Consignment has been dressing New York City’s rich, famous, and fabulous in high-end designer apparel and accessories for a fraction of the retail price. To Michael’s, it is important for customers to be able to try on one-of-a-kind pieces of designer clothing, something that is not possible online.”

Gary Dana, Rick Dana and Chris Dana at Douglas Elliman represented the landlord and the tenant in the five-year lease.
