Compass announced that Steve Sordello has been elected to the company’s board of directors.
Since July 2007, Sordello has served as the CFO of LinkedIn Corporation, the online business networking service.
During his tenure at LinkedIn, Sordello oversaw LinkedIn’s IPO and the company has scaled from $15 million to over $8 billion in revenue, raised critical capital and completed multiple private and public acquisitions, including LinkedIn’s $26.2 billion merger with Microsoft where Steve has played a key leadership role in its success since.
Previously, Sordello served as CFO of TiVo, Inc., a manufacturer of digital video recorders and as CFO at Ask Jeeves, Inc., an Internet search engine company which was acquired by IAC in 2005.
He has also held senior roles at Adobe Systems Incorporated and Syntex Corporation, a pharmaceuticals company, which was acquired by Roche Pharmaceuticals in 1994.
Sordello holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Santa Clara University.

Lendlease announced the appointment of Steven Sommer to the role of Executive General Manager and President of New York Construction.
He will replace Ralph Esposito.
Sommer has more than three decades of building experience with Lendlease alone.
During his tenure, he has served as Principal in Charge, New York Construction, overseeing the multi-use, public and higher education sectors in Lendlease’ New York Construction business.
Prior to this role, he worked internationally for over seven years in London and opened Lendlease’s office in Munich, Germany.
He also led several of Lendlease’s most iconic New York City projects, including the restoration and revitalization of Grand Central Station, the Time Warner Center and a multi-year program with Columbia University, which included the construction of the Jerome L. Greene Science Center.
Over the last three years, Sommer has led Lendlease’s largest design-build project in the Americas, with its joint venture partner at the Jacob K. Javits Center.

The Georgetown Company announced the appointment of Vishal Chawla as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.
Chawla, who previously served for 23 years at Ernst & Young as part of the firm’s real estate services team, takes over the CFO role from longtime Georgetown Company executive Robin Rasamny, who is retiring after nearly 40 years with the firm.
Daniel Gohari, who has spent the last three years as Controller for The Georgetown Company, will also take on the additional role of Chief Financial Officer for Park Madison Property Management, the firm’s property management arm.
Chawla was most recently Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction at Ernst & Young.
Prior to joining The Georgetown Company in 2017, Gohari spent 13 years at multiple leading real estate and business advisory firms, most recently as Assistant Controller at George Comfort & Sons.
He holds a BS in Accounting & Finance from the University at Buffalo.

Turner & Townsend announced the addition of Mindy Williams-McElearney as Head of Business Development in their New York office.
She joins the firm from L&K Partners, where she served as their Vice President of Client Services. Prior to L&K Partners, she was a managing principal at WorkSpaces LLC, where she led the sales initiatives and operations of their New York offices.
In all, McElereney brings over 25 years of experience working in partnership with the real estate, design and construction industries.
Her previous work experience includes architectural firms and construction management companies, as well as involvement with organizations like CoreNet and IFMA.

Odyssey Retail Advisors announced that Erika Schanke has joined the firm as a vice president.
Schanke brings two decades of cross-functional experience to her new role, where she will focus on landlord clientele and forging new global retail partnerships.
Previously, Schanke was at Cushman & Wakefield for 13 years, where, as managing director-retail services, she provided direction for its global retail platform, forged international brand relationships and led cross-border initiatives for the Americas.
Her retail leasing experience includes representation of more than one million square feet of urban and suburban developments, and specialty leasing of the Cohen Design Center’s portfolio. She has guided numerous retailers on their market entry to North America as well as U.S. retailers on their expansion abroad.
Lizzy LeBleu also has been hired as an associate. She will work on marketing initiatives and coordination of projects for the Odyssey team.
She is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where she completed both her BS in Business Administration and her MBA in Digital Innovation & Information Systems.

Houlihan Lawrence Commercial announced six new brokers are joining their staff.
Eugene Pepe has been in real estate sales for 15 years with firms such as Friedland Realty, GVA Williams and Goldschmidt & Associates.
He has also managed properties including his family owned Pepe Motors dealership.
Marc Luchansky’s expertise includes multi-family, industrial, office and retail.
Prior to joining Houlihan, he was a director at Besen Partners. Before entering the real estate business, he was a Director of Equity Sales at Buckingham Research. He also worked at Neuberger Berman and Paine Webber.
Silvio Cangianni has been running Regent Heating and Air Inc. for more than 20 years. Working in the field has helped him develop many contractor relationships along with ccustomer service skills.
Douglas MacDonald is an executive level, consultative salesperson with experience working with major Fortune 500 firms.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lawrence, he worked in media developing advertising programs for major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. He was most recently with Volvo Cars in White Plains. His wife has been with Houlihan Lawrence for the last seven years representing residential clients.
Jared Stone specializes in investment sales and tenant representation.
He previously worked with high net-worth individuals as a Financial Advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Finance and Marketing from The University of Miami.
Abbey Suskin has over the past 20 years experience and has completed in excess of 1,000 transactions including office, retail and industrial. Prior to joining Houlihan Lawrence Commercial, Suskin provided strategic transaction services at JLL. Additionally, she was the Director of Real Estate for Time Inc.
Suskin has a master’s degree in Real Estate from The Schack Institute of Real Estate at NYU.

Sapir Corp Ltd. announced the appointment of Sharon Raz as its next Chief Executive Officer.
Raz previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Elad U.S. Holding, Inc., and has 20 years of experience in the legal, real estate and financial industries in New York, Israel and Latin America.
She will replace Amir Richulsky and officially begin her tenure on December 8, 2020.
Since 2015, Raz has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Elad U.S. Holding, Inc., a real estate development company active in New York and Florida.
Prior to her time at Elad, Raz served as a Senior Vice President in the office of the President & CEO Israel Discount Bank of New York, where she also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the bank’s Latin American division.

Janover LLC announced that Anthony P. Napolitano, Jr. has joined the firm as a Partner based out of Janover’s New York City office.
Napolitano focuses his practice on providing accounting, business and tax planning services to privately held businesses.
His clientele ranges from start-ups and growing entrepreneurial businesses to well-established companies in various industries including real estate, apparel, technology, staffing and recruitment, professional services, wholesale and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Janover, he was a partner at the accounting firm Buchbinder Tunick.
Napolitano received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Marks Paneth LLP announced that Clarence (Guy) O. Peterson IV, CPA, has joined the firm as a Partner in the Professional Standards Group.
Peterson joins an established team of professionals responsible for reviewing the firm’s attest engagements and ensuring adherence to all professional standards.
With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and auditing, his expertise includes Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, internal controls over financial reporting (SOX), US
Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Peterson has performed engagement quality control reviews (EQCRs) and managed internal inspections, both domestically and globally.
Prior to joining Marks Paneth, Peterson was a Managing Director at a Big Four accounting firm.

JLL announced the hire of Chief Product Officer Sharad Rastogi to lead JLL Technologies (JLLT).
Based in San Francisco, Rastogi will lead product strategy and engineering execution of JLLT’s revenue-generating technology offerings, helping to unlock data-driven insights and experiences, while improving the efficiency and ROI of clients’ real estate portfolios.
Before JLLT, Rastogi was responsible for a diverse portfolio of software and appliances as chief product officer and SVP of Dell Technologies’ $3 billion-plus Data Protection Division.
Prior to that, he held senior roles in general management, products, marketing, corporate development and strategy at leading companies including Cisco, JDSU, Avid and Bain. He is also an adviser to Boston University’s College of Engineering.
Rastogi holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi.

Bright Power has hired Carmel Pratt as Director of New Construction.
Pratt joins the firm from The Levy Partnership where she was the Sustainability Director, leading a team performing of sustainability services, research and development projects.
In her new role, she manages teams working on ground-up new construction, rehabilitation and commissioning projects. She also directs long-term strategic planning for the new construction division and helps cultivate client relationships. Additionally, she oversees high impact projects that require technical guidance, and detail.
Carmel has a B.S. in Architecture and is a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), a LEED Green Rater, and a RESNET HERS Rater.
