CBRE Assessment & Consulting Services announced that it has hired Nathan Sorensen as Vice President of Regional Business Development for the Southwest Region. Mr. Sorensen will be based in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Sorensen joins CBRE from Environmental Data Resources, a provider of current and historical data for due diligence services, where he joined as a Regional Manager and most recently served as a Strategic Client Director.
In his new position, Mr. Sorensen will manage IVI’s existing client base in the Southwest, as well as head up new business development for CBRE in the region.

Colliers International has further expanded its New Jersey operations with the addition of Christine Eberle, who joins as an Associate.
In this role, Eberle will focus on landlord and tenant representation which will include all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
The hiring of Eberle exemplifies Colliers International’s corporate commitment to hire and support the best women and minority brokers. She will be working directly on the team led by Executive Managing Director Richard Mirliss, one of New Jersey’s most accomplished real estate professionals.
Previously, Eberle served as Director of Business Development with Avison Young, where she was responsible for sourcing opportunities for all real estate service lines. Prior to that, she served as Director of Marketing and Broker Relations for a real estate investment and asset management company. She began her career as a property management specialist, serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager with Grubb & Ellis, where she was responsible for more than 2 million square feet of office and industrial space for institutional owners.
Eberle attended Rutgers Business School and is a veteran of the United States National Guard.

David has a diversified background with emphasis on audits of public and non-public companies, including entities with international operations, as well as consulting a diverse range of clients including wholesale/distribution, retail and apparel and real estate entities.
Most recently, Moshashvili was a senior manager in the New York office of a national CPA firm. He is active in several professional organizations and is presently the President of the Contemporary Credit Club, a well-recognized organization with a membership roster of bankers, factors, attorneys and accountants.
David is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society CPAs. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Economics degree from Binghamton University.

Frederick C Braun III, chairman of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency and the Town of Brookhaven Local Development Corp., has been re-elected to a two-year term as a director of the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC).
Braun, a resident of Mount Sinai, was re-elected at the NYSEDC’s annual meeting on May 21. He also was appointed to NYSEDC’s finance and audit committee.
In addition to his IDA position, Braun has been the chief executive officer and president of Gyrodyne Company of America Inc., a publicly traded REIT based in St. James, New York, since 2013. Previously, Braun worked for more than 46 years in commercial banking most recently as executive vice president of the State Bank of Long Island.
Braun also serves on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations including Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where he has been a trustee for more than 30 years. He holds a BS in Finance from Lehigh University.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Hani Salama has joined the company as Regional Facilities Management Director, North Region, for the American Express account.
Mr. Salama will be leading the facilities management teams for American Express’ North Region, which includes Canada and its headquarters at 200 Vesey Street, Manhattan, where he will be based.
Previously, Mr. Salama was with Monday Properties, where he was Executive Vice President of Property Management and Operations and managed six million square feet of assets in New York, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Throughout his career, Mr. Salama has managed landmark buildings such as the Empire State Building and the Helmsley Building at 230 Park Avenue.
Mr. Salama is a licensed professional engineer and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is presently an elected NY BOMA officer.
Mr. Salama has received BOMA Pinnacle awards for several Class A office buildings he managed in NY and VA; is LEED AP certified, and is a New York real estate broker. He has achieved Energy Star status in 13 commercial buildings, BOMA 360 in four buildings and LEED Gold in five buildings.

Marcus & Millichap announced that Hessam Nadji has been promoted to senior executive vice president, according to John J. Kerin, chief executive officer and member of the firm’s board of directors.
Mr. Nadji joined Marcus & Millichap in 1996 and currently serves as its chief strategy officer and senior vice president responsible for the firm’s specialty brokerage divisions as well as research, advisory services and marketing. He will now also be responsible for overseeing the firm’s mortgage brokerage operations, as well as certain corporate functions.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Nadji was senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis. Mr. Nadji received a Bachelor of Science degree in information management and computer science from City University in Seattle.

CBRE Assessment & Consulting Services announced that it has hired Jason Munson as Vice President of Regional Business Development for the Southeast. Mr. Munson will be based in Atlanta, Georgia.
The announcement was made by Linda A. Bryson, Senior Vice President of CBRE, who joined the firm as part of its recent acquisition of IVI International, Inc.
Mr. Munson has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, including extensive experience in asset management, acquisition and disposition, debt and equity finance and real estate development. He was most recently Vice President, Asset Management at Trimont Real Estate Advisors, which provides a range of services to institutional real estate lenders and investors.
In his new position, Mr. Munson will manage IVI’s existing client base in the Southeast, as well as head up new business development for CBRE in the region.

Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP announced the addition of eight attorneys, including three partners, from DLA Piper to the Firm’s national Real Estate Practice Group.
Joining the Firm’s Washington, DC office are partner Jeffrey R. Keitelman, who will serve as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, co-chair of the Real Estate Practice Group and co-managing partner of the Washington, DC office, and partner Kim Pagotto.
Joining the Firm’s New York office is partner Marc Hurel. In addition, of counsels Richard Cohn, Jonathan A. Cohen and Joseph F. Miller; special counsel Hala M. Sibay; and associate Kelly Booker will also join the Firm.
Keitelman, who was one of DLA Piper’s leading real estate partners, works with local, national and international investors, owners, occupiers, managers and brokers in acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, financing, joint ventures, property management and related matters involving office, industrial, retail, residential and mixed-use properties.
Prior to joining Stroock, he was a member of DLA Piper’s Executive Committee, and head of their Government Real Estate, Corporate Real Estate and Green Real Estate teams. He received his J.D. from Columbia University as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and his B.A. from Brown University, magna cum laude.
Kim Pagotto practices in the areas of commercial real estate leasing, finance, government leasing and development. She has experience with acquisitions, dispositions and leasing of office, retail, industrial, telecommunications, utility and multifamily residential projects. Ms. Pagotto also has significant experience in the area of government real estate, particularly General Services Administration leasing. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan and her B.A. from the University of Michigan, with honors.

Marcus & Millichap has named John Krueger associate regional manager of its Manhattan office, according to Gene A. Berman, executive vice president and group manager of the firm’s Northeast, Southeast and Texas offices.
Krueger joined the Manhattan office as an agent in June 2012 and became sales manager in 2014. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he sold single-family homes, condos and development sites with a real estate firm in Chicago. Krueger graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned a master’s degree in administration from Central State University in Ohio.

Colliers International announced that David A. Simon, SIOR has joined the organization as Executive Managing Director, New Jersey Region and will serve as the new head of the firm’s New Jersey operations.
With more than 25 years of experience as a broker and manager in the New Jersey market, Simon will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the firm’s Parsippany and Princeton offices, with plans to open others, while significantly increasing market share across Northern and Central New Jersey
Most recently Simon was an Executive Managing Director with Massey Knakal Realty Services and led the firm’s expansion into New Jersey. Massey Knakal was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in December, 2014. Previously, he has held leadership positions including: Managing Principal for the New Jersey office of Cassidy Turley, Chief Operating Officer for Colliers Houston & Co. and Principal with Newmark Real Estate of New Jersey, currently known as Newmark Grubb Night Frank.
Simon attended Boston University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Public Relations. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science degree in Real Estate from New York University. Avison Young that Michael Hammerslag has joined the company in New York City.
Effective immediately, Hammerslag becomes a Principal of Avison Young and Senior Director of Tri-State Consulting and Research. Based in the firm’s Manhattan office, he will focus on building a strategic and financial consulting practice while also leading Avison Young’s Tri-State research team.
In addition to having gained considerable industry experience, he has instructed aspiring leaders in real estate and finance at several universities, including Cornell, the State University of New York at Oneonta, and New York University (NYU).
Hammerslag did doctoral course work in finance and real estate at the University of Connecticut, holds a Masters degree in real estate from NYU, an MBA in finance from Long Island University-Post, and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, business administration and mathematics from Heidelberg College.
