WHO’S NEWS: Latest appointments, promotions

SJP Properties has deepened its leadership team with the promotion and hiring of two key professionals within its property management platform: Barbara Quintana has been promoted to Director of Property Management, and Mary Tanzer has been hired as General Manager.
Quintana and Tanzer will bring their combined experience of over 40 years to oversee all property management operations, and tenant and vendor relations for SJP’s best-in-class office portfolio.
With more than 30 years of experience, Barbara Quintana previously served as the General Manager for SJP’s New York property management teams.
In her new role, she will lead the management teams for SJP’s commercial assets in both New York and New Jersey.
Prior to joining SJP, Quintana oversaw asset and facility management for Class A properties in Chicago and New York on behalf of such clients as JP Morgan Chase, N.A., Fosun Property Holdings, Travelers Insurance Company, Banc One Corporation, and the First National Bank of Chicago.
Quintana is a graduate of Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Mary Tanzer brings more than a decade of experience to her position as General Manager.
Tanzer previously worked with Tishman Speyer as Senior Manager of Facilities/Operations, supporting NBCUniversal at 30 Rockefeller Center and NBCU/CNBC in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
Throughout her career, Tanzer has overseen property management at several Class A properties, including Hearst Tower and 200 Park Avenue, and also worked as Director of Property Management for Savitt Partners. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from William Paterson University.

The Instant Group announced that Steven Rothman has joined the firm as its Vice President, Financial Services Lead.
Rothman joins the firm with more than 30 years of experience and will work with financial services and insurance firms across the Americas to develop and expand their agile and flexible workspace strategies and programs.
Most recently, Rothman spent seven years at JLL, where he was senior vice president, national director, working with firms such as HSBC, JP Morgan, Chase, and Willis Towers Watson.
For eight years before that, he was at Morgan Stanley, where he was executive director, global corporate real estate. He’s also held positions at Johnson Controls; Prudential Financial; GVA Williams Real Estate Company; and JP Morgan Chase.
Rothman received his MBA, Finance, from Pace University and bachelor’s degree from the College of New Jersey.

Romer Debbas, LLP, announced that Alison P. Snyder has joined the firm as an associate.
Snyder specializes in assisting buyers, sellers and lending institutions involved in residential real estate transactions.
She is well versed in pre-contract due diligence, including the essential review of offering plans, financial statements, and co-op/condo board minutes. Snyder also has experience in co-op/condo board representation and litigation matters.
A member of the bar in New York, Snyder is a graduate of Temple University and received a Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School.

The Hampshire Companies announced several new hires.
Joining the firm as Director of Finance, Lauren Sattler brings 16 years of real estate finance experience into her role.
Most recently serving as Vice President, Controller for Brookfield Office Properties, Sattler was a key member of the team responsible for overseeing the international alternative asset management organization’s daily accounting operations including the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable departments responsible across its 2,000 assets in 30 countries.
Elhadji Ndao and Larisa Vandenko join The Hampshire Companies as Fund Controllers.
Ndao will draw on his nearly 19 years of accounting experience, including skills acquired in his most recent position as Accounting Manager for Lee & Associates, LLC.
Vandenko has 13 years of private equity and commercial real estate accounting experience highlighted by her most recent role with SS&C Technologies as Associate Manager, Private Equity. In addition, Vandenko’s worked as a Senior Tax Associate with Deloitte Tax LLP’s Real Estate & Private Equity Advisory Group.
Janki Patel and Tanya Mendes both join as Fund Accountants.
Prior to joining Hampshire, Patel served as Senior Accountant for PEF Services.
Mendes brings experience in real estate accounting at firms including Vornado Realty Trust, Thor Equities and Aetos Capital Real Estate, LP to her new role.
Lauren Cook previously worked with The Hampshire Companies in a contractual role assisting with review, filing and processing of payments for limited partnership tax filings.
The company has also tapped Daniel Levy as Fund Analyst. Levy previously worked with Lexington Realty Capital and Capitol Hartford, LLC.
Dean Pezzino joins The Hampshire Companies as a Cost Accountant. He previously served as Lead for Development Finance at WeWork.

Marino announced that Nick Derasmo has joined as Senior Vice President.
He will partner with Elizabeth Latino, Senior Vice President, to co-lead and further grow Marino’s real estate practice.
Derasmo brings more than 15 years of strategic communications experience in both agency and in-house roles.
Most recently, he served as Vice President, Communications Manager, Commercial Banking for JPMorgan Chase. Prior to that, he held leading communications roles at RXR Realty and Skanska, and spent more than six years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as the head of communications for the Tri-State Region.
Derasmo earned his master’s degree in public relations from Iona College and bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from the State University of New York at Albany.

Cresa has welcomed Ashkahn (Ash) Pajoohi as Principal, Head of Portfolio Strategy and Consulting.
In his new position, Pajoohi will both lead and be the main point of contact for all consulting support.
Pajoohi was previously a director at WeWork where his focus was strategic initiatives and creating efficiencies for the platform. He has also held leadership roles at Colliers and CBRE, specializing in occupier services, client strategy, and group account management. At AIG, Mr. Pajoohi served as Head of Real Estate Finance and Asset Management.
Pajoohi holds a BA in Public Policy and Government from Hamilton College, a Master’s in Urban Planning from Hunter College, and a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from New York University.
