Helmsley Spear, LLC, announced that Randy Sherman has joined the firm as Executive Managing Director where he will focus on tenant and landlord representation.
Sherman brings 30 years of experience to the firm having closed over six million square feet of commercial leasing transactions with major corporations.
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Sherman served as Executive Managing Director of MHP Real Estate Services for more than 20 years.
While at MHP, he served as the Eastern Regional Vice President for TCN Worldwide. He also served as a Vice President with Broadwall Brokerage and Consulting, structuring relationships with many Fortune 100 companies.
Sherman graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
BTIG announced that Michael Vranich, a REIT specialist, has joined the firm’s Institutional Equities team as a Managing Director.
Vranich has nearly 20 years of REIT trading experience. Prior to BTIG, he managed the Real Estate Trading team at Green Street Advisors for eight years.
Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns and ISI Group in New York, where he focused on the real estate sector.
He earned an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BS in economics from Vanderbilt University.
RIPCO Real Estate (RIPCO) announced that Hymie M. Dweck has joined the Brooklyn office of the retail leasing and management company as Executive Managing Director.
Dweck joins RIPCO from Newmark Knight Frank where he served for more than 10 years representing tenants and landlords within the city’s five boroughs.
He has represented several nationally recognized retailers and respected owners. Significant transactions include arranging Uber’s 16,000 s/f lease in the Bronx, which allowed the ride-hailing company to open a Greenlight Hub for drivers in a space formerly occupied by CVS.
Additionally, Dweck represented developer Adam America Real Estate in leasing 10,000 s/ft of retail space at 781 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn to Brooklyn Harvest Market, a gourmet grocery chain.
Dweck is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Leadership in Organizations.
Hodges Ward Elliott announced that Frank Dalicandro has joined the firm as a Vice President in its New York Office.
Dalicandro will build upon the firm’s growing investment sales platform by overseeing financial underwriting and generating transactional opportunities across a variety of commercial real estate sectors.
Dalicandro brings nearly a decade of investment advisory and financial services experience to his new role at HWE and most recently served in a similar role on the investment sales team at Jones Lang LaSalle in New York for three years.
He holds an MBA in Real Estate and Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Economics from Lafayette College.
The Durst Organization announced the appointment of Emmanuelle C. Slossberg as Vice President of Marketing.
Slossberg will oversee setting the strategic direction for and execution of all branding, marketing, social media and advertising for The Durst Organization and its affiliates.
Additionally, Ronald Menold joins Durst as Security Systems Manager and will work with the Information Technology department and oversee the Security Systems team.
Before joining The Durst Organization, Slossberg was the Director of Strategy, Principal, at CetraRuddy Architecture. Prior to her 10 years with CetraRuddy, she was Vice President, Strategic Development, at boutique creative and advertising agency HZDG.
She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University. Emmanuelle is a U.S. Green Building’s Council LEED accredited professional.
Menold was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the past 20 years where he held positions as Special Agent, Forensic Examiner and Director of the New Jersey Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (NJRCFL).
As the Director of the NJRCFL, the third-largest digital evidence lab in the country, he developed the FBI’s method for recovering video data from inoperable DVRs and developed analysis methods for volume shadow copies before commercial forensic tools for VSC analysis were available.
Ronald holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Computer & Information Security from Northcentral University, a Master of Science, Accounting & Financial Management from the University of Maryland University College and both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Virginia Tech.

Ahlers will be responsible for sizing the team’s debt and equity placement opportunities, preparing offering materials and executing deals.
Prior to joining B6, Ahlers was an Associate Director at Newmark Knight Frank on the New York Debt & Structured Finance team where he was directly involved in the arrangement of over $2 billion of debt and equity financings.
Prior to Newmark, he was an Associate at MidCap Financial where he underwrote and executed debt financings across the United States.
Ahlers earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.
Alpha Realty announced the appointment of David Ganz to spearhead its recently formed Private Capital Group, which specializes in arranging bridge loans and other non-traditional short-term financing.
Before joining Alpha Realty, Ganz was Director of Acquisitions at Ranco Management and is responsible for over $350 million in acquisitions throughout his career in real estate to date.
BEB Capital has appointed Emily Wolf to serve as general counsel.
Wolf joins the real estate development and lending firm after three and a half years as general counsel for Kushner Companies.
Until her appointment, Keyvan Ghaytanchi, chief operating officer, also served as general counsel. Ghaytanchi is now president of the firm’s new lending division while continuing in the role of COO.
Wolf brings more than 15 years of experience in business and real estate law to BEB Capital.
She worked for the Manhattan law firm of Meister, Seelig & Fein for 11 years before joining Kushner Companies.
She obtained her juris doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan, after graduating from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology.
The Fordham Real Estate Institute (REI) announced that Ryan Severino, CFA, chief economist at JLL, will join the REI graduate adjunct faculty staff this fall.
He will be teaching classes in Real Estate Risk and Portfolio Management.
In his role at JLL, Severino is responsible for global and regional economic research, analysis and forecasting, as well as property market forecasting.
He previously served as senior economist and director of research at Reis, as well as associate director of research at MetLife Real Estate Investments.
Before joining MetLife, Severino served as the director of investment strategy and market research at Starwood Capital Group. He has also held research positions at Prudential Real Estate Investors and UBS.
Severino earned a master’s degree from Columbia University in International Finance and Economics, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Japanese and Economics from Georgetown University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Gonzalez has 17+ years of experience within various industries nationally.
Prior to joining Woodmont, she was the Director of Human Resources at a franchisee of three national brands that operated two independent proprietary concepts, covering 147 restaurants and employing over 7,000 people nationally.
She was also a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for a nationally and regionally ranked hospital system.
Earlier on, she was the Vice President of Strategic Human Resources for a leading international education services provider.
Gonzalez served in the public and non-profit sector as a Senior Director of Administration in one of the nation’s top government public health agencies and various non-profit organizations dedicated to social services.

Throughout his career, Feeney has focused on office and industrial leasing and sale transactions primarily throughout the New Jersey metropolitan area, but has handled national requirements for his clients as far away as Hawaii.
He has closed over four million square feet of transactions in the high-tech, industrial, manufacturing and communications industries. One of his most notable transactions was the 175,000 s/f Bedminster headquarters lease for Verizon Wireless.
Formerly serving as a Managing Director with Studley (now Savills) since 1994, Feeney played an important role in establishing the company’s central New Jersey office.
He also has held positions with Douglas Elliman Commercial and Joseph Hilton & Associates.
Feeney received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Boston University.
