Deborah Jackson, one of the country’s most sought-after retail appraisers, has joined Cushman & Wakefield in New York as a managing director in the company’s Valuation & Advisory practice.
Jackson will focus on the delivery of retail valuation and advisory services for REITs, global retailers and major institutions involved with retail assets.
Jackson brings nearly four decades of experience to Cushman & Wakefield having overseen Landauer Realty Group’s retail consulting practice for many years and most recently serving as a director with WeiserMazars LLP.
Her extensive background in consulting services for retail and other commercial entities includes the delivery of unbiased real estate counseling services for numerous globally recognized REITs, pension funds, private equity funds, law firms and off shore investment companies.
Jackson has extensive experience in the annual analysis of large property portfolios, due diligence reviews, and litigation support for a variety of assets located throughout the United States.

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has promoted Kevin McCrann to associate vice president investments.
The achievement represents excellence in the development and servicing of long-term client relationships, according to Michael Fasano, vice president and regional manager of the firm’s New Jersey office.
Most recently a senior associate, McCrann joined the firm in January 2006, was promoted to associate in February 2008 and advanced to senior associate in January 2009.
He is an associate director of the firm’s National Multi Housing Group and a member of Special Asset Services.

MetLife, Inc. announced that Louis Jug has joined the company as managing director and head of investor services for MetLife Investment Management, LLC, the company’s institutional investment manager.
Jug joins MetLife from Fortress Investment Group where he was a managing director and a member of the firm’s Capital Foundation Group. Prior to Fortress, he was managing director at ING Clarion Partners for 10 years.
Prior to ING Clarion, Jug was senior principal investment officer at the California Public Employee’s Retirement System, the largest public pension fund in the U.S.
Jug is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, and is a 1982 graduate of the University of California Berkeley.
John P. O’Hara has joined Sperry Van Ness Commercial Real Estate Advisors as managing partner.
O’Hara, formerly a partner at Corporate Realty Services LLC, which he co-founded in 2003, has a large roster of exclusive local and regional clients.
Previously, he worked for Brown Harris Stevens Real Estate Services. Prior to becoming a broker, O’Hara was vice president of a regional petroleum marketer.
A specialist in land sales, industrial and office sales and leasing, O’Hara has assisted in the development and completion of four major industrial parks in Suffolk County.
O’Hara is a founding member and president of the Brookhaven Industrial Group Association, a business group that provides networking and a forum for businesses in and around the Brookhaven industrial parks.

Eileen Carey has been named managing director of Corporate Occupier and Investor Services at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in East Rutherford.
The promotion recognizes Carey’s success in leading the commercial real estate services firm’s growing portfolio management practice in New Jersey and Connecticut; C&W’s 400-employees manage in excess of 20 million square feet of office and industrial space for Fortune 500 companies in this area.
Carey, a 30-year real estate industry veteran, joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1997 and has since been promoted four times.
Last year, Carey spearheaded two initiatives that significantly grew her group’s business volume. First, she headed the launch of a new Mobile Engineering and Maintenance services platform in New Jersey.
Carey has also supported the aggressive growth of East Rutherford’s project management team.
Carey is LEED EB accredited. She also is certified as a BOMA Real Property Administrator and a member of the BOMA organization.
She graduated Cum Laude from Marist College, where she majored in Business Administration.

Massey Knakal Realty Services announced that Dion Duyck has joined the firm as a marketing manager.
Prior to Massey Knakal, Dion was the director of marketing at The Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group.
Earlier, Dion held positions at the Simon Wiesenthal Center. As an educational outreach co-ordinator, she acted as a liaison with academic, media and political figures on projects. She also held the position of Leadership Society Board co-ordinator and spent time as interim assistant director of New York Tolerance Center and as assistant director of Bill Maynes Gallery.
Dion earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies, Political Science and International Affairs at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned a Master of Science degree in
Media and Communications at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Massey Knakal Realty Services announced that Adam Ecker has joined the Brooklyn division as an associate. He will be focusing on Brooklyn’s Ditmas Park, Flatbush, Midwood, and Ocean Parkway neighborhoods.
Adam attended The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business – Finance. He also studied at Lorenzo De’ Medici Italian International Institute in Florence, Italy.
Prior to Massey Knakal, Adam was an Investment Analyst at NorthMarq Capital.

Arbor Commercial Mortgage, LLC announced the second phase expansion and development of its CMBS and Syndication platform with the addition of three industry veterans, Barbara Duka, Peter S. Ginsberg and Richard Bianchi.
Barbara Duka joins Arbor as a senior vice president of CMBS and Syndication Credit. Duka will play a leading role in the credit approval process, the structuring and pricing of loans and the execution of the loans.
Prior to joining Arbor, Duka held several key analytical and management positions during her 14-year tenure at Standard & Poor’s, where she oversaw the initial rating and the ongoing surveillance of commercial real estate-backed securities in the United States and Canada, the development of quantitative tools to track and analyze credit risk and the publishing of research and performance data on the sector.
Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, she held several credit, origination and asset management roles during her nine-year tenure at United Jersey Bank. Duka holds a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University.
Peter S. Ginsberg joins Arbor as a senior vice president of CMBS Origination and Syndication.
Ginsberg was most recently an executive managing director at Arcturus, a boutique, real estate advisory firm. Before that he was a managing director at Centerbridge Partners, LP, and a managing director at Capital Trust.
During his tenure at Capital Trust, Ginsberg obtained the Special Servicer rating from all three rating agencies for the firm. He graduated with honors and received both a B.A. and J.D. from Northwestern University.
Richard Bianchi joins Arbor as senior vice president of CMBS Loan Originations and will be responsible for assisting in the growth of a direct CMBS commercial real estate lending practice at Arbor.
Prior to joining Arbor, Bianchi most recently served as vice president of Loan Originations at Oritani Bank. Before that, he served for 12 years as senior vice president, Principal Finance Group at Capmark Finance.
Bianchi received his B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University.
Additionally, Arbor has also appointed Joseph Charneski to its CMBS business unit in order to enhance the integration of CMBS and Syndication into the existing Arbor loan product infrastructure.
Charneski joined Arbor in June 2008 as a Fannie Mae DUS Multifamily underwriter and most recently served as vice president of sales operations.
Prior to joining Arbor, Charneski served as vice president, Loan Originations at CBRE Realty Finance. He holds a B.A. in Real Estate and Urban Economics from the University of Connecticut and a J.D. from Western New England College.

Pliskin Realty & Development announced the appointment of Jodi Pliskin as marketing director.
She brings to the role over a decade of experience serving in New York-based agencies and other marketing roles.
Previously, she was a meeting planner for Group Travel Specialists. Prior to that, she was an art buyer with Bates Worldwide, where she was involved in creative, print and production assignments.
In her new role, Pliskin, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, is managing all aspects of the firm’s marketing and branding activities.
Pliskin’s professional background also includes her role as a Transfer Credit Evaluatorat the New York Institute of Technology.
As a Brown University graduate, she has served as a local alumnae interviewer for the past 20 years and has served as Brown’s Nassau County Alumnae Chairperson from 2009 to 2012.
