
The Vortex Group, a boutique commercial real estate firm, is celebrating ten years in business with news of an expansion.
The company has negotiated for over 2.5 million square feet of office space throughout New York City in the past decade.
“I launched The Vortex Group with a vision to provide tenants with exceptional representation in commercial transactions,” explained President and Founder, Rick Marek.
“Reflecting back on how far we have come, I am proud of the many successful transactions we have completed and our role in helping tenants grow and prosper.”
Mark announced that Scott J. Skorobohaty has joined the firm as principal, and Joshua Stuart as executive director.
Skorobohaty comes to the firm with over 25 years of commercial banking experience. He was previously an executive vice president at BankUnited. Prior to that he contributed to North Fork Bank’s growth in Manhattan sourcing billions o in deposits and loans and growing the franchise when it was acquired by Capital One.
Josh Stuart, a new Executive Director at The Vortex Group, brings a decade of experience representing corporate tenants in a diverse mix of industries including insurance, financial services, legal, and technology. In his new role, he represents corporate tenants in complex lease transactions.
He recently completed a 15,000 s/f transaction for Old Republic Insurance Company at 199 Water Street.
