The Moinian Group, which is celebrating its 40th year in operation, announced today that it has completed a 18,783-square-foot office lease with London-based architectural firm Grimshaw Services USA, with the tenant signing a long-term lease for the entire 4th floor at the owner’s 60 Madison Avenue.
Grimshaw, which will move into its new office in Q2 2023 pending build-out of the space, is relocating from the Meatpacking District.
“Grimshaw is an internationally renowned architectural firm that was in the market for a new headquarters,” said Ted Koltis, Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing for The Moinian Group, which is celebrating its 40th year in operation. “Our ability to offer a custom-build solution on the entire fourth floor of 60 Madison with great light and views of Madison Square Park was instrumental in their decision to move into our building. Grimshaw is a tremendous organization who will make an excellent addition to our strong roster of tenants.”
Ken Fishel, of LegacyNY, represented the tenant in the transaction. The team of Gregg Rothkin, Tim Freydberg, Jared London, and Hayden Pascal, of CBRE, represented ownership at 60 Madison Avenue.
In addition to this new office leasing transactions, The Moinian Group continues construction of its 200,000-sf Hudson Arts Building at 220 11th Avenue, expanding its investment and presence along the Far West Side. Known as The Moinian Mile, the developer owns more than 4 million square feet of real estate on 11th Avenue alone. Those properties include residential—The Oskar at 572 11th Avenue and Sky at 605 West 42nd Street, the largest luxury residential property in Manhattan—and commercial properties including The Hudson Arts Building and 3 Hudson Boulevard, a 1.9-million-square-foot office tower set to rise in the heart of the Hudson Yards District with JV partner Boston Properties.
