The Edison Gramercy Announces Launch of Sales and Unveils Model Apartments Designed by Paris Forino in Collaboration With ASH NYC

Urban Development Partners and SD Second Avenue Property LLC announce the debut of their newest property, The Edison Gramercy. Located at 250 East 21st Street, the new residence is ideally situated in one of the city’s most iconic and celebrated neighborhoods, steps away from Gramercy Park and close to Union Square’s tech and transit hub. The Edison Gramercy features complete interior design by Paris Forino Design, a world-renowned luxury interior design & decorating firm with model apartments designed in collaboration with AD100 interior design staging firm ASH NYC. Issac & Stern Architects, a prolific architectural firm based in New York City, conceived the building’s exterior architecture and design.

The Edison Gramercy houses a limited collection of 54 boutique studio to four-bedroom condominium residences, ranging in price from approximately $925,000 to over six million USD.

The building’s exterior retains the traditional pre-war New York City architectural design style while infusing the European charm of the Gramercy neighborhood. “A touch of elegance always remains in style,” says Ralph Kowalczyk, Partner at Issac & Stern Architects. Every fixture and finish chosen for the building was carefully considered, such as the limestone façade, French windows and doors, and a zinc standing seam mansard roof, which recalls neoclassical Parisian architecture. The building also features large glass windows surrounded by limestone trim and small Juliet balconies.

Inspired by the beauty of the surrounding Gramercy Park townhouses, the interior embraces a clean palette of classic materials and an exquisite level of bespoke design and sleek custom detailings. Rich materials, including numerous unique natural stones, white pearl marble, linen wall coverings, and white oak, are juxtaposed carefully throughout the building, bringing warmth, texture, and character into these residences. Design highlights include white oak herringbone floors, deep crown moldings, gorgeous custom stone kitchens and bathrooms, and an exclusive Waterworks Grace hardware collection custom fitted with panda white, black and white marble.

“We wanted something where people feel warm and cozy and can live beautiful storied lifestyles,” said Paris Forino of Paris Forino Design.

In alignment with the official building launch, The Edison Gramercy unveils model apartments envisioned by ASH NYC complementing Paris Forino’s vision for the building. Aiming to create distinct lifestyles and personalities for each of the homes to speak to a range of buyer profiles, the overall style of the model apartments is layered, tailored, classic, and concise, with an array of unique and sculptural accents. Echoing the interior design, ASH NYC chose a dramatic and inviting palette of warm earth tones for the series of model units.

The collection of homes is enhanced with a suite of wellness and social amenities, including an exquisite array of secret gardens designed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. The Edison Gramercy’s thoughtfully designed Resident’s Lounge and Yoga Garden, Sun Terrace, and Gramercy Park-inspired roof deck will serve as an urban oasis for residents aiming to energize and soothe both the body and soul. The outdoor spaces are elegantly landscaped and outfitted with outdoor furnishings and planters. Residents can immerse themselves in the gardens while enjoying incredible views of New York City, spotlighting NYC icons such as the Clock Tower and Empire State Building.
