The Durst Organization Announces 29 Tenants Have Leased Nearly Half a Million Square Feet of Durstready Space

The Durst Organization today announced that its DurstReady office offering has accounted for more than 445,000 square feet of leasing activity with 29 tenants since its launch in 2019. DurstReady offers exceptionally designed, furnished, wired and move-in ready offices from 2,000 to 45,000 square feet.

“DurstReady offers a compelling solution for a growing segment of the office market, appealing to a wide range of tenants from dynamic startups growing out of co-working spaces to established firms seeking a quick and seamless move-in process, convenience, and flexible lease terms in class A office buildings,” said David Neil, a principal of The Durst Organization.  “Ultimately, DurstReady allows companies to focus on their core business.”

Given its success, The Durst Organization is expanding its DurstReady inventory across several buildings within the portfolio in 2023, including at 1133 Avenue of the Americas for the first time.

The Durst Organization collaborated with Gensler Architects, Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, TPG Architects, RDA Engineering, and ME Engineering and meticulously developed sustainable, fully wired, and beautifully finished office spaces. All furniture suppliers committed to fast turnaround times and collaborated with Durst on finishings and designs including sustainability requirements. DurstReady can take prospective occupants from tour to tenant in just two weeks, at a time when a typical leasing and build-out process runs anywhere from 6 to 14 months, saving tenants time and money.

In the past 15 months alone, The Durst Organization has signed 13 tenants totaling 130,000 square feet.  Such transactions include an expansion of Celonis for 40,000 square feet  at One World Trade Center, swing space (8,580 square feet) for Urban Resource Institute at 675 Third Avenue and Liminal Strategy Partners for 5,556 square feet at 825 Third Avenue.

“Tenants are gravitating to superior, well-located buildings such as the ones in our portfolio as demonstrated by the strong demand we are seeing,” added Lauren Ferrentino, Managing Director of Commercial Leasing at The Durst Organization. “At 825 Third Avenue, we recently brought several DurstReady spaces to market where two were preleased and we have significant activity on the remaining units.”

“DurstReady offers an ideal solution for our existing tenants as well,” said Eric Engelhardt, Senior Vice President of Leasing at The Durst Organization. “Just last year we successfully accommodated our tenant Celonis by providing them with a DurstReady space at One World Trade Center to meet their immediate expansion needs, while we designed and constructed their long-term solution on the 70th floor.”

DurstReady tenants praise their new spaces, like Travis Jarae, Founder and CEO at Liminal, who expressed his excitement about the company’s recent move to 825 Third Avenue, stating, “We’re thrilled to have relocated to our new office space, which is tailor-made for our flourishing business. The DurstReady concept has revolutionized our transition from a flexible space to a pre-built office, offering us future space options and the flexibility to expand and grow. The contemporary atmosphere, breathtaking views, abundant natural light, and extensive amenities perfectly align with our focus on employee satisfaction, customer engagement, and commitment to sustainability, making it an ideal match for our requirements.”
