Michael Tabor is putting his Manhattan skyscraper 450 Park Avenue on the market, according to a report in the Financial Times. The property is currently valued at $600 million.
Tabor, a British gambling and horse-racing millionaire, had bought the skyscraper in 2007 for $509 million through a family trust – at the time a record price per square foot for a U.S. office building. The report said Tabor plans to auction the skyscraper through real estate investment firm Somerset Partners. The building at the corner of Park Avenue and East 57th Street was completed in 1972 and renovated in 2006.
