Cushman & Wakefield announced today that James Delmonte, a former principal and VP of research at Avison Young, has rejoined the firm as director of research for New York City.
“We’re very excited to have James back at our firm,” said Ron Lo Russo, C&W’s president for the New York Tri-State Region. “His depth of knowledge on commercial real estate trends and opportunities within the tri-state region will better enable our already strong team of research experts to continue to provide our brokerage professionals with the world class, real-time market information that our New York City clientele demand.”
James Delmonte served as an associate and a director as recently as 2006. Now, with seven years experience as a research executive for two competitor firms, he rejoins to co-direct the department with Lori Albert, a 30-year veteran of its research team. Together they will lead a team of four research professionals in the firm’s Midtown and Downtown offices.
“James’ return to Cushman & Wakefield adds a wonderful complement to our outstanding, seasoned and dedicated team,” said Donald Noland, managing director of research. “He has a great pulse on the market and will serve as a mentor to some of our research professionals.”
Prior to his role at Avison Young, where he established a research department for their New York City office, Delmonte served as vice president and research director at Jones Lang LaSalle, providing strategic oversight and direction for their research operations throughout the New York tri-state area.
In his new role, he will work in tandem with an established team of research experts, to deliver innovative thought leadership in an evolving New York commercial real estate landscape, and leverage the firm’s best in class research platform to deliver their array of value-added resources and capabilities to their brokerage professionals and clients.
