Social Apparel, the women’s dress and fashion retailer with locations in four New York malls, has leased its first freestanding location at 255 West 34th Street in the Garment District.
The store includes 1,760 s/f on the ground floor, 1,276 s/f on the mezzanine and 1,540 s/f in the basement.
Winick Realty Group managing director Young Byunn represented Social Apparel, who subleased the location from Burger King Corp. Jason Pruger and Aaron Cukier of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented ownership.
The owners of the company, which was founded in 2007, are intimately familiar with the area, having previously maintained a 34th Street presence with a similar concept.
“They understand the 34th Street market well and they look forward to maintaining their presence on this peerless shopping strip,” said Byunn.
Social Apparel currently has a store in the nearby Manhattan Mall, as well as Queens Center, Palisades Center and The Galleria at White Plains. They plan to on West 34th open in April 2013.
