Last November Chase Welles and Bertrand de Soultrait of SCG Retail were in Cannes, France, attending MAPIC, the annual European retail leasing event.
Both Welles and de Soultrait are fluent in French and they were there to connect with European brands and retailers interested in the US market.
The SCG Retail team is now ready to announce the first of several new relationships established from MAPIC. The team is nationally representing the French retailer The Kase.
According to Welles, “The Kase has turned the ordinary mobile phone accessory into a high-fashion item with world-class designs and beautiful materials. They make great looking products that also function well with your phone or tablet.”
The Kase uses world class designers to create products including Prada, Guess, Gucci and Marc Jacobs. They can also personalize accessories with images from the library or from a customer’s photograph. The retail design is sleek and modern.
“The Kase is very fashion forward,” says de Soultrait. “Think Apple store meets SoHo boutique.”
SCG Retail is currently looking for up to 1,000 s/f for The Kase in key fashion areas of Manhattan as well as a select group of other cities across the United States.
The Kase has opened five stores in the Paris area in the last two months (with three more about to open) and have aggressive expansion plans for Europe over the next three years.
