Renderings released for supertall 180 East 88th Street

Development firm DDG has released renderings for the city’s newest supertall condo at 180 East 88th Street.

DDG is developing the 521 ft. tower in partnership with Global Holdings. 180 East 88th Street will be the tallest residential building on the Upper East Side.

Joseph A. McMillan, Jr.’s DDG will design, build and manage the  50-story building, which will surpass 1214 Fifth Avenue (at the corner of 102nd Street) as the tallest building on the UES, by eight feet.

The tower will total 151,458 s/f split between 48 residences, plus amenities and commercial space. The building is aiming for LEED certifications and will include such eco-features as  an irrigated exterior planter system, green roof system, green marquee, and green cleaning program.

The building will be DDG’s first uptown project, and is slated for completion in 2018. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales.
