REBNY releases list of top dealmakers set to compete for best-in-class award

The gauntlet has been thrown in the annual race to find New York City’s top dealmakers.
The Real Estate Board of New York has released entries for the 2016 Sales Brokers Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Awards competition.

Dealmakers have submitted their best commercial real estate sales, lease, and finance transactions completed in 2016 for a chance to win the coveted honors.

“This annual competition highlights the intricacies of commercial real estate negotiations that are navigated with ingenuity, professionalism, and fortitude by REBNY members,” said Woody Heller, chair of REBNY’s Sales Brokers Committee and Executive Managing Director, Group Head of the Capital Transactions Group at Savills Studley.

“These skills are necessary for achieving agreements that benefit not only the parties involved, but also the communities surrounding them.”

The 15 sale, lease, and finance transactions submitted for the 2016 competition are:

“Going Out of Business Sale: The Disposition of Lee’s Art Shop on West 57th” – 220 West 57th Street, New York, NY. Brokers: Amit Doshi and Lynda Blumberg of Besen & Associates

The first-, second-, and third-place winners will be announced at the Sales Brokers Committee’s 73rd Annual Cocktail Party to be held on Tuesday, April 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Club 101 (101 Park Avenue).
