Houlihan Lawrence Commercial Group – the commercial arm of northern suburb homes specialists – is expanding into Connecticut.
Michael Rackenberg will lead a team servicing the communities throughout Fairfield County including New Canaan, Greenwich and Stamford. He will be joined by the agents Terry Baxendale, Jim Higgins, Peter Wells and Teresa Marziano.
“Connecticut, much like New York, is experiencing renewed momentum in the commercial market from industrial, retail and health care industries,” said Thomas LaPerch, managing director of Houlihan Lawrence Commercial Group.
“We’re eager to meet these needs and introduce new buyers and sellers to our growing team of highly skilled, successful real estate professionals.”
Rackenberg will oversee the agents, working between the company headquarters in Rye, NY and the residential brokerage office in Greenwich, CT.
Rackenberg said the move “allows the company to expand its commercial services into the lucrative Connecticut market.” The new team has already closed a series of deals. Baxendale sold 62 Mason Street in Greenwich for $2.8 million. The historic building was originally listed for lease, but Baxendale brought a prepared buyer to the table.
Peter Wells has brokered leasing deals at both 86 Greenwich Avenue and 125 Mason Street in Greenwich.
